Peace on Earth? Ha! Not at the Allworths’. It’s snowing outside, but inside is pretty frosty, too.
 
“This is about me, isn’t it,” says Ernest. “This is about me refusing to be in your Christmas play this year. Oh yes, Miss Vertical File, oh yes I know all your devious ways.”
 
“No, it’s really not about you, darling,” Shirley says so-o-o-o sweetly. “You can just be the stand-in this year. Uh-huh. Sort of like a crash dummy.”
 
In a quiet moment, Ernest thinks, We used to be so happy. We used to joke around. Shirley, goodness and mercy shall follow. What happened to me? What happened to US?
 
This is a Christmas play about reconciliation, about the Prince of Peace who brings reconciliation for all families of the earth. It’s funny. It’s full of Christmas hope. All ages can participate.
